Board of Education Meeting Minutes for May 8, 2023
The Board of Education met on Monday, May 8, at 5:30 pm. Members present: Brian Aaberg, Brad Anderson, David Ciancio, Scott Russell, Beth Sonderup and Jennifer Wood.
Called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm.
Recognized Open Meetings Act.
Recognized visitors.
Approved the agenda as presented.
Dr. Anderson shared an update on projections for the 23-24 general fund budget. He indicated that state legislative decisions will greatly impact how revenue will be provided to support the budget of expenditures.
Dr. Anderson gave a brief presentation about the buildings and grounds work that will take place this summer.
It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Russell to approve the Activities Programs use of vans during the summer for leagues and camps. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
Dr. Anderson and Mr. Burenheide provided the board with the coaching/sponsor assignments for 23-24.
It was moved by Wood and seconded by Anderson to approve the use/employment of individuals who possess Nebraska local substitute certificates. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
Approved the minutes from the regular April 10, 2023, board meeting.
Approved the Treasurer’s report as presented.
Approved the payment of bills as presented.
Adjourned the meeting at 6:27 pm.
