Board of Education Meeting Minutes for March 10, 2025

The Board of Education met on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 5:30 pm. Members present: Brian
Aaberg, Brad Anderson, Brittany Bertram, Angie Herman, Beth Sonderup and Jennifer Wood.
Absent-none.
Public notice of the meeting was published in the Nance County Journal on March 5, 2025.
Called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.

Approved the agenda as presented.
Spotlight- Mr. Hubel presented information regarding instruction of 8 th grade civics program.
Dr. Anderson provided an update on buildings and grounds including results of a recent state
facility audit.
It was moved by Wood and seconded by Aaberg to approve the LANMAN agreement with ESU 7
for the 2025-2026 school year. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
It was moved by Bertram and seconded by Herman to approve the Special Education and Mental
Health Practitioner agreements with ESU 7 for the 2025-2026 school year. Roll call vote: Aye-6,
Nay-0.
It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Wood to approve the copier bid from Capital
Business Systems with extra programming. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
It was moved by Herman and seconded by Anderson to approve the activities code for the 2025-
2026 school year as presented. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
It was moved by Sonderup and seconded by Anderson to not approve the option enrollment for
Blakely Beierman to attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2025. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
It was moved by Sonderup and seconded by Anderson to not approve the option enrollment for
Brantley Knopik to attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2025. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
It was moved by Sonderup and seconded by Anderson to not approve the option enrollment for
Tobi Thies to attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2025. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
It was moved by Sonderup and seconded by Anderson to not approve the option enrollment for
Chase Lesiak to attend 8 th grade in the fall of 2025. Roll call vote: Aye-6, Nay-0.
Approved the minutes from the February 10, 2025, regular board meeting.
Approved the Treasurer’s report as presented.
Approved the payment of bills as presented.
Adjourned the meeting at 6:45 p.m.
