Board of Education Meeting Minutes for August 21, 2025
The meeting was called to order at 5:45 p.m. by President Sonderup. Aaberg, Bertram, Sonderup, Wood were present with Anderson and Herman being absent. The meeting was in accordance with open meetings law and there was no public participation. President Sonderup noted that the board would be entering into executive session to discuss possible real estate acquisition or purchase and to protect the public interest in the strategy discussion.
Motion by Bertram and second by Wood to enter into executive session passed on a 4-0 vote. President Sonderup noted that the board would be entering into executive session to protect the public interest and the only item to be discussed in executive session is the acquisition/purchase of real estate. The minutes reflect that the board entered into executive session at 5:50 p.m.
Angie Herman entered the meeting at 6:04 p.m.
The board took a break from executive session at 6:24 p.m. and reentered at 6:29 p.m.
The board exited the executive session at 6:30 p.m.
In open session there was a motion by Herman and a second by Wood to authorize the Superintendent and legal counsel to make offers and execute property purchase within the parameters that were set forth in executive session. The motion passed on a 5-0 vote.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:31 p.m.
